Who is O.L.S.?
Optimum Logistic Solutions (d.b.a. Optimum Staffing, Inc.) has been involved in the driver leasing industry for numerous years. A sister company of Transport Drivers, Inc., OLS was created with one function in mind: provide professional Commercial Drivers to clientele on an as needed basis. While some “temporary” companies will handle secretarial, administrative, light industrial, etc. positions and drivers, here at OLS we specialize in one: DOT qualified commercial drivers. With over fifty years experience in the transportation and personnel industry, we are confident in our experiences, knowledge and abilities to assist your operation to continue to grow and prosper. Why should I use O.L.S.?
Optimum Logistic Solutions uses a stringent evaluation and screening process to ensure that we are offering our clients the best and most qualified candidates for our customer’s operation. Prior to dispatching a driver to your account, we will work with you and your operations department to ensure that the professional drivers we assign to your account will have the previous experience and background best suited to your organization. Besides professional candidates, we follow up with all orders to make sure that your needs and the needs of your customer were met and if we did not meet all of your expectations how we can improve our process.
OLS also can provide our customer with a driver qualification file which will exceed the expectation of Department of Transportation. All candidates must go through the same time tested process to eliminate any unwanted or non-eligible candidates. All drivers must have a minimum of two years of recent verifiable experience, clean motor vehicle record with minimal accidents and/or moving violations and the ability to pass a D.O. T. physical and drug screen. We verify ten years of employment history; conduct a criminal background check, process naturalization through the Immigration and Naturalization Service’s ICE program, verify and review our own search of the candidate’s motor vehicle record, send for a pre-employment physical and drug screen and review safety procedures and company policy. How does O.L.S. differ from your competition?
We have specialized in the temporary driver solutions for over fifteen years. Our sister corporation has been involved in the long term driver solutions industry for over forty years. We ARE experts in the field of transportation and logistics personnel industry and we set the industry standard as far as temporary commercial drivers. If you are using a competitor, some questions you may want to ask, request documentation or backup and evaluate the answers are:
If the other provider cannot answer yes and provide backup to these and other questions, then you may want to look at your provider. If they cannot answer yes to all of the above, then you maybe liable in a lawsuit or litigation due to lack of or adequate coverage, utilizing a contracted employee who is not qualified under the FMCSR or in a situation of co-employment. O.L.S. believes in hitting the bull’s eye every time, not hitting a target and drawing the bull’s eye around the mark. We want to find out what your needs and requirements are prior to sending a driver. Our Manager’s will be there to meet our driver prior to them going on duty to ensure that all of the questions are answered and the transition happens smoothly and flawlessly. When can I use O.L.S.?
By signing a usage only agreement and credit application, we can provide a driver whenever the need arises. There is no commitment or fees with our agreement. Should a situation occur where you would need a supplemental driver for the day, week or longer; help is just a phone call away. The only time you would ever incur costs is if you utilized one of our drivers. Our office staff would gather all of the pertinent information regarding the start time, delivery location(s), how many stops, how freight is removed, how long the trip will take and any other information specific to the individual assignment and find the appropriate driver for the assignment. Our office would notify you with the drivers name and information for your records. Should you need a driver qualification file, one can be provided to you. The driver will come to your facility with a timesheet. Upon completion of the assignment, the driver would indicate on this timesheet the start time and end time. You would approve the hours worked and receive a copy of the timesheet for your files. The following week, our office would send a driver pay confirmation to your attention for your approval. This would indicate the driver’s name, date(s) worked, hours worked and billing amount and total. Therefore, you will be able to see how many hours the driver worked and how much it will cost your company. This is to ensure that all of the information the driver is providing to us and you is accurate and to elevate any questions or issues that may arise. (top)
